Appointed as main contractor for the extension and complete refurbishment of this 150 year old, Grade B1 listed building to create a multipurpose facility, completed in March 2010. Built in the 1870’s, the building was in a serious state of disrepair with only 50% of the space in use.

The refurbishment works included, retaining the unique timber structures repair of the existing natural slate roof, substantial stonework repair & conservation, repair & replacement of windows & doors, reinstating plaster details and protection of the swift colony nesting in the open eaves.An extension was also built to provide social facilities for the local community and consists of galleries, cafe, dressing rooms, workshop areas, dance studio, shower/WC facilities, general amenities and offices.
