Project Title: Premier Inn, Southwark
Client: King’s College London
Architect: LTS Architects
Structural Engineer: Ross & Partners
Mechanical & Electrical: CH2M
Project Value: £12million
This project included the design and build along with the sensitive and sustainable redevelopment of a historic site in Borough, London.
The development comprises a 99-bedroom Premier Inn Hotel, two retail units, a gym and refurbishment of the adjacent listed building.
The site has two different types of brick laid in a variety of brick bond and coursing including cream stack brick bond, hanging brick laid in soldier course and brick specials cut for non-standard corners. The result is a stepped façade which projects the appearance of four different carefully constructed buildings.
