The project which overlooks Old Paradise Gardens, will transform the former Costa Coffee roastery site into a progressive and sustainable workplace building, and become an exemplar for low carbon and sustainable building design.
Works include the removal of the redundant existing shed structures on site with design and build construction of a new G+5 storey CAT A office building including basement next to live railway lines serving Waterloo and Vauxhall stations through highly sustainable low carbon construction.
A key feature of the building construction is the use of a timber hybrid superstructure, with CLT floors and roof, glulam beams and columns, and a concrete and steel core.
The building is also predicted to exceed RIBA’s 2030 Climate Challenge and LETI’s 2030 targets.
