Gilbert-Ash completed a £13m design and build project to construct 63 modern apartments at Prestamex House, Brighton.

The project included the demolition, alteration, refurbishment and conversion of an existing 1970’s 7-storey office building to provide the new apartments.

Works included recladding, relocation of cores and associated external works. They also comprised stripping back the existing RC structure to the frame, the addition of a penthouse, new cladding and internal reconfiguration.

Drawing on Gilbert-Ash’s best-practice commercial hospitality experience, the team incorporated a turn-key benchmark room. This process reflected the ‘as one’ approach throughout the project, enabling all partners to agree upon the apartment finish.
