South Kensington is an affluent district of London within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The project saw the major refurbishment and new build works to a Grade II listed building, to form an art gallery with exhibition and office space.
Works comprised demolition, strengthening, protection, restoration, façade/roof repair along with new glazed link bridges, creation of light wells, a new pavilion building with double basement, new secondary entrance from Thurloe Place and landscaping.
The works also included the partial demolition and rebuild of No.3 Thurloe Place Mews to create access to the basement of the pavilion building as well as refurbishment of the first and second floors.
