Wadham College was founded in 1610 in the reign of King James I by Nicholas and Dorothy Wadham. Nicholas Wadham, a member of an ancient Somerset family, died in 1609 leaving his fortune to endow a college at Oxford.
The project included the design and build of student accommodation with 135 ensuite study bedrooms, a conference/common room, private garden space, dining and ancillary spaces.
The bedrooms range from 15m2-18m2 with clusters of six-seven students sharing a secure, self-contained 'flat', with a shared open plan kitchen and dining room. Each cluster has access to an outdoor communal area and a large common room.
