The design and construction of the new Royal College of Pathologists headquarters in the heart of the City of London saw a 7-storey structure completed within a 20 month timeframe thanks to a precise schedule of works.
The first step included the demolition of the previous 1980's building, with the existing basement slab retained.
The building incorporates a 200-seat auditorium, meeting rooms, library, breakout exhibition space, a full catering kitchen and CAT A and CAT B office space.
The exterior envelope of the building is constructed from a mixture of traditional brick, glazing, precast concrete, rainscreen cladding and anodised aluminium curtain walling.
